Introducing Splitnor: Split Expenses, Not Friendships
Raj · Oct 11, 2026 · 3 min read

Our newest app keeps track of shared costs for trips, flatmates and dinners out, so everyone knows who paid, who owes, and how to settle up.
Every group trip, shared flat or dinner out ends with the same question: who paid for what, and who owes whom? Spreadsheets get out of date, chat threads get lost, and somebody always ends up out of pocket. We built Splitnor to make that question disappear.
What Splitnor does
Splitnor is a free app for iPhone and Android, launching soon, that keeps a running record of shared expenses between friends and groups. Add an expense in a few seconds, choose who it's split between, and Splitnor works out everyone's balance for you.
- Flexible splits: split equally, by exact amounts, or by percentages.
- Groups for anything: trips, homes, couples and events, with a shareable invite link so people join in one tap.
- Smart settle up: see who should pay whom to settle a group, and record payments when someone pays you back.
- Stay in the loop: notifications when an expense is added or someone pays you, comments on expenses, and an activity feed of every change.
- Insights: spending analytics by category and by group, plus CSV export.
- Bring your history: import groups, friends and expenses from a Splitwise CSV export.
Private by design
Money between friends is personal, so we kept Splitnor simple and respectful of your data. There are no ads and no third-party trackers. Your expenses are only visible to the friends and groups you share them with, and you can delete your account and data from inside the app at any time.
Built the way we build for clients
Splitnor is built the same way we build apps for our clients: one codebase for iPhone, Android and the web, separate development and production environments, and testing on real devices before every release. We've written about how we ship one codebase to three platforms.

Splitnor will be available on the App Store and Google Play soon. Visit splitnor.com to learn more, and tell us what you think. Feedback from early users shapes every release.
